On Departure: All Icelandair passengers departing the USA and Canada must go through EU/EEA (European Union / European Economic Area) security screening upon arrival at Keflavik International Airport in Iceland. If USA or Canadian departing passengers have purchased liquid duty free items in North America prior to boarding that are in containers 100ml or larger, the items will be confiscated. Exception is made for dutyfree items purchased in EU/EEA dutyfree shops in properly sealed bags.
On Arrival: All Icelandair passengers entering the USA with properly-sealed EU/EEA duty free items in their carry-on and who are connecting to USA domestic flights upon their international arrival must pack their duty free items in their suitcases prior to boarding their domestic flight.

From April 14th 2005 all Lighters and matches are now prohibited as a carry-on item in the aircraft cabin to and from the USA. Full details can be found on the US Transportation Security website at http://www.tsa.gov/public Disabled passengers are allowed a wheelchair in addition to their free baggage allowance, but it must be checked.
Baggage taken into the cabin of Icelandair aircraft must be placed under the seats in front of them or in overhead the bin. The passenger is responsible for his or her own cabin baggage.
The cabin crew is not required to accomodate large cabin baggage such as framed pictures, due to lack of space and security reasons in cabin.
