The scenic Hvita (White River) is located just one hour from Reykjavik, providing ideal,enjoyable rafting for both beginning and experienced rafters (the rafting level for Hvita is 2+ out of 5) with a perfectly balanced mix of serene canyons and adrenaline-pumping rapids. You'll even have the opportunity to practice some cliff jumping as the tour passes through the area of the magnificnent Bruarhlod canyon! Who can resist the unique opportunity of going glacier river swimming in Iceland? After your tour, relax at the Drumbo base camp where you can enjoy the sauna and geothermal hot tubs and a hot meal. The morning tour version includes a delicious buffet lunch, while the afternoon tour version includes a savory lamb barbecue dinner - a great outdoor tradition in Iceland!

Important: For passengers with early morning arrivals in Iceland on flights from North America, this tour is NOT recommended as passengers generally arrive at their hotel around 8am, and any delays could cause you to miss the tour departure. Icelandair cannot reimburse passengers for unused portions of a package or land only travel once travel starts. Please also remember to dress for cold weather by bringing a warm sweater, a swimsuit, change of clothes, as well as a towel for drying off (on-site rentals are available as a second option). Also, there is a small cafe on-site at the rafting center. The tour operator recommends that participants should know how to swim and are comfortable with floating in the water.
