Hiking boots required. Very popular in Iceland, this spelunking (cave exploration) tour takes you into volcanic caves filled with color laden stalactite and lava formations. This is the real thing, a true taste of spelunking! There are no rails, preinstalled lights or structures - you'll be enjoying pure and delightful caving adventure and seeing the beauty of the cave formations up close. Helmets, headlights, coveralls and gloves provided.

Important: Participants should be reasonably fit for this tour and be able to walk on coarse lava surfaces and maneuver around boulders and ice formations. Sometimes participants will need to crawl on all fours.

Please note that this tour will not pick up passengers at hotels outside of Reykjavik.

Wear: Warm clothing and outer wear, hiking boots suitable for walking on coarse lava surfaces.

Not recommended for children under 9 years.
