Explore the secrets of the Silver Circle, a region of diverse wonders best discovered on foot! Drive to Hvalfjordur, the "Whale Fjord" for a walk up to Glymur, Iceland's highest waterfall (3 hour hike), From here, drive to Thingvellir National Park to explore a beautiful  lava cave called Gjabakkahellir (1 hour here). Relax with a scenic drive along Lake Thingvallavatn to Nesjavellir geothermal area. Here, savor a surreal walk among active steam vents, colorful bubbling mud pools and powerful hot springs. Wear : Warm clothing and waterproof hiking boots Bring: Rain gear, water bottle, and a packed lunch (sandwiches, fruit, water and juice, flask of hot coffee or chocolate, candy or cookies for energy).

Important information:

• Level of hiking: moderate (5 hours hiking total, sometimes on steep hills).
• Waterproof hiking boots essential.
