This incredible adventure will take you into the Vatnajökull National Park in South East Iceland and onto the biggest glacier in Europe. Start with a  drive along the scenic south coast en route to the National Park.  Strap on crampons for an exploratory hike on Virisjolkull glacier.  Witness spectacular ice formations and crevasses.  High above looms the massive Vatnajökull glacier in all its grandeur.  Your skilled glacier guides will tell you about the uniqueness of glaciers.  

The tour continues to the famous Glacier Lagoon. There is no better way to explore this surreal wonder than on one of the strange looking amphibian boats. Glide between huge icebergs, which constantly break away from a nearby tongue, producing a wonderworld of ice. After the boat ride we stop for coffee and a warm Icelandic waffle with cream and jam before heading back to town.

Dress for cold weather and wear hiking boots.
