Reykjavik City Hostel: This award winning, eco friendly hostel sits in easy reach of Reykjavik's largest geothermal swimming pool, the national soccer stadium and the botanical gardens. With the city bus stop right on the door step, the hostel is just a ten minute bus ride from the Old Town area. (Thirty minute walk along scenic seacoast trail) Hostel has 170 beds. Facilities include free wi fi access (4 internet computers available for a small fee), breakfast buffet with local and organic options (not included in package), Cafe selling ecological and fair trade drinks, three kitchens, TV lounges, common room, laundry facilities and library. Reykjavik Downtown Hostel: Situated on a quiet street less than five minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main street, the old harbor and many attractions, the eco friendly Reykjavik Downtown hostel offers 68 beds in a shared dorm setting with shared bathroom facilities (10 beds per dorm room with private ensuite bathroom). Modern, comfortable and welcoming, the hostel has a 24 hour front desk service. Facilities include fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounges, laundry, free wifi access for your computer, Tour desk can book excursions, many of which include free pick up and drop off. Hostel front desk operates 24/7. A coffee bar sells continental breakfast (not included in package) and fair trade/organic coffee/tea through the day. Other facilities include luggage storage, lockers and a public phone (card required) located in reception. Note: If you plan to use lockers at this hostel, lockers are free but you will need to bring your own lock. Locks are available for purchase at the hostel desk.
